Since 2002, CBC Toronto has raised over $12 million in support of food banks across Ontario through its annual holiday fundraiser, Make the Season Kind (formerly Sounds of the Season).
Food insecurity has been declared an emergency in Mississauga. Food Banks Mississauga saw over half a million visits last year – the highest ever in our history. We, along with our network of 78+ food programs, now support almost 37,000 neighbours in need across York region.
You are invited to join CBC on December 5 for a special day of programming, performances, and stories of hope at our Make the Season Kind public event. Learn more at cbc.ca/kind/Toronto.
