Food insecurity has increased significantly across York Region since the onset of the pandemic, exacerbating existing trends of food insecurity.
In 2021, FBYR distributed $7.24 million worth of food and supplies to 60+ non-profit community organization partners who provided food services to 22,793 York Region residents facing food insecurity.
