Michael is passionate about addressing food insecurity in York Region and is proud to serve on the Board of Directors for the Food Bank of York Region. He works for Hitachi Rail as Deputy Director of Health and Safety and brings over 15 years of leadership experience in the construction, industrial, and transportation sectors.
Michael has served on several health and safety and labour-management boards throughout his career, contributing his expertise in governance, risk management, and community engagement. He believes that access to nutritious food is a fundamental right and that organizations like the Food Bank of York Region play a vital role in supporting the well-being and dignity of local families. For Michael, giving back through the Food Bank is deeply rewarding and a way to make a tangible difference in the community where he lives and works.
