The Food Bank of York Region (FBYR) counts on the help of our volunteers to meet the need with our hunger relief efforts.

We have the food, but we need help to get it to those in need in our neighbourhoods and communities. Our volunteers’ impact and involvement are crucial to the success of our food program.

Sort, pack, drive, distribute or help with events and administrative work. There is a variety of volunteer opportunities available and we are always in need of a helping hand.

Good with Data Entry or Social Media? Utilize your skills in our organization’s office
Get hands on and inspect, sort and pack donated food products and household items in our warehouse
Do have a valid license? Volunteer drivers are needed to help distribute and deliver food hampers to our community partners.
Interested in volunteering for special events? Volunteers are needed to ensure the success of special events.
